Montsec Astronomy Park
The Serra del Montsec is a wonderful place for star-gazing due to the almost total lack of light pollution and its many clear nights. That’s why the Universe Observation Centre is located here.
The Astronomy Park is used for scientific research and for educational purposes. It offers exhibitions about astronomy and the landscape, as well as the chance to enjoy a unique instrument: the Eye of the Montsec, a digital multimedia planetarium and an observation platform. Its 12m diameter dome provides unforgettable views of the sky.
It operates both by day and at night and the activities it offers include:
- Observations in the Telescope Park
- Sessions in the Eye of the Montsec planetarium
- Exhibition about astronomy and the area around Montsec
